The traffic log archiving solution allows you to retain technical data as required by law when deploying a WiFi Hotspot. Thanks to its direct integration into access points, you can easily deploy the solution remotely without adding any on-site server. Data is archived on a redundant central server located in France.
Feature Overview
Legal Obligations for WiFi Hotspot Providers
The French law for confidence in the digital economy of June 21, 2004 (LCEN) and Article L.34-1 of the Postal and Electronic Communications Code (CPCE), as amended by the law of January 23, 2006 on the fight against terrorism, requires ISPs and all persons who, in the course of a professional activity, offer the public a connection enabling online communication — including free of charge — to retain data of a nature likely to enable the identification of anyone who has contributed to the creation of the content of the services.
This applies to hotels, restaurants, shops, town halls, marinas, airports, guesthouses, bars, cafés, schools and businesses offering visitor access.
Penalties: any failure to comply exposes the person to one year’s imprisonment and a €75,000 fine for individuals, and €375,000 for legal entities (Article L.39-3 of the CPCE).
Real-time Data Backup
Traffic data that protects you in the event of illegal activity on your WiFi network is stored in real time on a redundant Cloud and can be retrieved at any time upon simple request.
Unlimited Simultaneous Users
Licenses operate per access point, with no limit on the number of simultaneous connected users. You only pay for the number of access points, not the number of users.
Unmatched Deployment Ease
The traffic log retrieval software is installed centrally directly into WiFi access points during deployment or beforehand in the lab. These logs are then sent in real time to the Cloud backoffice where they are monitored and analyzed daily.
- No additional server to install on site
- Fully centralized deployment
- Compatible with the main WiFi access points on the market
White Label — Customizable to Your Name and Colors
Strengthen your visual identity and promote your brand to your customers by customizing the header banner, your graphic charter and your contact details on emails. Sent from a generic domain name, the sender name is yours.
You and your team are copied on emails sent to your customers to keep you informed of alerts and notifications sent automatically.
Monitoring and Notifications
Received logs are monitored and analyzed daily so you can ensure the proper functioning of the WiFi solution and log reception.
- Initial log reception confirmation
- Reception / non-reception alerts
- Subscription expiration notification (1 month, 1 week and on the date)
- Monthly summary of active subscriptions
- Individually activatable / deactivatable notifications
Security and Compliance
Traffic data is received and archived in a French datacenter with redundant architecture and biometric access rights to offer the best in security.
Technical connection data can only be disclosed to persons authorized by law, notably judicial authorities in the context of criminal proceedings, or HADOPI.
